We’re so excited you’ve chosen to explore being involved with Route 252! You make a big difference in the lives of children simply by choosing to invest in their spiritual journey. Kids are asking big questions as they are seeking their own personal relationship with Christ. So let’s celebrate them, their development, and their spiritual journey!

Opportunities exist working directly with children as well as behind-the-scenes. Check out the ways you can serve below.

Co-Lead a group on Sunday or Wednesday (2 years olds – 6th grade). Co-Leading provides consistency for the kids as well as a team who can decide how best to divide responsibilities. We provide training, curriculum, support, and all the help you need to ensure you will be successful!

During Sunday services and special events, volunteers provide peace of mind to parents that their children will be cared for in a safe environment. At the same time, through thoughtful attention and care, volunteers begin demonstrating Christ’s love to our youngest children.

Our desire is that all children experience the love of Christ in an age appropriate manner. Some kids need a little special attention to make this happen. Volunteers are needed to come alongside children with special needs such as autism, Down Syndrome, or behavioral challenges to help them know Christ’s love.

As families arrive for all ministry activities, volunteers are needed to welcome them, assist them with the check in process, and help them find their child’s classroom. Volunteers in this role have a unique opportunity to impact visitors as you might be the first regular attender they encounter!

It takes a lot of preparation to make ministry to children happen. Behind-the-scenes volunteers are the hidden gems that support other volunteers by making copies, shopping, cutting out and preparing supplies, and more! You set your own schedule and can choose to work at the church or at home. This is a great opportunity for people who want to support Route 252 without working directly with kids!

Be part of a team that organizes and leads special events for kids. SummerBlast, Day of Play, Strollin’ to the Stable, and Winter Camp are just some of the events you can support.

As our classrooms are being renovated, a team is needed to assist with the design and decorating of each room. Additionally, in our large group environments for both preschool and elementary, we periodically change our stage set. Volunteers are critical for making this happen!
